Description and Services
The Locanda Cà Le Vele is on the first floor of a charming and typically Venetian building, dating from 1600 and characterized by high ceilings with exposed beams, and imposing stone balconies. The hotel, completely restored in 2009, is only a short distance from the famous Cà D’oro Museum. It opens onto Calle de le Vele, a street where in times past the “vele” (sails) were made for the famous Venetian sailing ships which carried merchants across the sea at the time of the great Venetian Republic.
The hotel is only 5 minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes from St. Mark’s Square and the main cultural and artistic sights of Venice. The Locanda, which has a welcoming, family atmosphere, is run by two brothers, Ivan and Massimiliano, who make every effort to give their guests a pleasant and memorable holiday.
The fully-trained staff at reception can give you all the information and advice you need about how to make the most of your stay in Venice. They will also organize, on request, trips to the islands and into the lagoon, romantic rides in a gondola, or guided tours of the city.
