The Locanda Cà Le Vele is on the first floor of a charming and typically Venetian building, dating from 1600 and characterized by high ceilings with exposed beams, and imposing stone balconies. The hotel, completely restored in 2003, is only a short distance from the famous Cà D’oro Museum. It opens onto Calle alle Vele, a street where in times past the “vele” (sails) were made for the famous Venetian sailing ships which carried merchants across the sea at the time of the great Venetian Republic.
The hotel is only 5 minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes from St. Mark’s Square and the main cultural and artistic sights of Venice. The Locanda, which has a welcoming, family atmosphere, is run by two brothers, Ivan and Massimiliano, who make every effort to give their guests a pleasant and memorable holiday.
